According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Leeds United star Finlay Gorman has passed a physical with Manchester City and is set to join the Citizens next month.
The 15-year-old was promoted to Leeds‘ Under-18s in September of this year and has appeared in five games for them thus far.
Gorman, an attacking midfielder, can be a goalscoring presence in the last third of the play, as evidenced by his three-goal efforts thus far.
The Premier League champions have been keeping an eye on the promising Leeds talent for quite some time.
A sum, estimated to be in the seven figures, has been negotiated between the two teams, and Gorman is now closing in on a move to Manchester.
Gorman has now passed his medical examination in Manchester, with no concerns discovered.
The City Council will make Gorman’s departure official in January.
Manchester City‘s academy manager, Thomas Kruecken, and chief young scout,
have been at the core of it all, assisting the club in completing the transfer.
The midfielder will not be able to sign a professional contract until he turns 17 in 2025.
