What Richarlison performed in full-time had Everton fans on their feet

On Saturday afternoon, Richarlison scored against his previous team as Tottenham Hotspur defeated Everton.

Richarlison thanked the travelling supporters of his former club after scoring the opening goal in Tottenham Hotspur‘s home triumph over Everton.

Sean Dyche‘s troops suffered their first Premier League defeat in five matches this afternoon in North London. Richarlison and Son Heung-Min scored in the first half after some shoddy defending.

Andre Gomes, who returned from injury as a first-half replacement, then proved influential, setting up a controversially disallowed Dominic Calvert-Lewin goal and eventually finding the net himself, but Everton were ultimately unable to salvage any points.

While the result was not what they had hoped for, the away fans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium took a number of positives from the Blues’ performance before being given another cause to be upbeat ahead of the long journey back up north.

Former Everton striker Richarlison joined the Everton team in thanking everyone for their support.

His most recent strike, which he did not celebrate, may have been detrimental to his former club. However, his thoughtful act on the eve of Christmas was warmly received by his previous fanbase.

After returning to Tottenham’s squad following an injury hiatus, the Brazilian is hoping to rekindle his form, which he has begun to accomplish with four goals in his past three games.
