Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Tottenham’s search for a new defender.
Injuries and suspensions have left Tottenham without a proper center-back, a position that has become the club’s main concern.
Romano has now provided an update on the two transfer targets.
He claims that, while talks with Todibo are ongoing, the agreement will be difficult to execute and may take some time.
As a result, Spurs have shifted their focus to plan B and have ‘started talks’ with Radu Dragusin. A bid could be submitted soon.
He goes on to say that the Tottenham manager has granted his blessing.
Romano provided an update on X:
“Understand Tottenham want new centre back deal sealed by next week — Todibo talks on but if it won’t be done shortly, Spurs have another plan.”
“Told Spurs have opened talks with Genoa as well for Radu Dragusin!” Bids could be submitted soon. Dragusin was also approved by Postecoglou.”
Dragusin’s continuous strong performances have earned him a lot of accolades in the Italian League.
If the Spurs can sign him in the upcoming window, he may be a tremendous addition to their team.
