Leeds United are interested in completing a move reunion with Ethan Ampadu’s former teammate- Reports.

Leeds United are reportedly one of two Championship clubs interested in Spezia goalkeeper Bartomej Dragowski this month.

As injuries cause selection issues for Daniel Farke, the Whites have a few of places in the team that appear to need more depth before the January window closes.

Bartomej Dragowski

When Kristoffer Klaesson was picked in goal against Birmingham City at the start of 2024, it revealed a surprising paucity of choices in goal, with Illan Meslier suspended and Karl Darlow sidelined with a dislocated thumb.

Leeds are interested in signing Bartomej Dragowski.

According to Il Secolo XIX (via TuttoMercatoWeb), Leeds are keeping an eye on Spezia keeper Bartomej Dragowski this month.

The Italian club presently competes in Serie B alongside local rivals Sampdoria, who Andrea Radrizzani purchased after leaving Elland Road.

Hull City are also mentioned in the report, with the Polish custodian expected to attract interest in the coming weeks.

Elland Road might host an Ethan Ampadu reunion.

An fascinating aspect of this is that Spezia was Ethan Ampadu’s previous loan club before joining LS11 on a permanent basis in the summer window of current season.

Wales international experienced his third demotion on loan from Chelsea, having to play in a less comfortable center-back role – Leeds quickly learnt that his greatest form is in midfield.

Last season, Spezia were relegated by goal difference after ending level on points with 17th-placed Hellas Verona but three goals worse off.

Leeds signing Dragowski serves no purpose.

When everyone is fit, there is no point in even considering goalkeepers from other countries unless they are a vast improvement over what we have.

Dragowski does not appear to be a significant upgrade over what we already have, to the point where he should be prioritised.

The absences of Darlow and Meslier are inconvenient, but Klaesson has shown he can hold his own with distribution and the occasional shot-stopping.
