Now, Bayern Munich and the £4 million Tottenham player have agreed on a permanent deal

With a deal to sign Radu Dragusin for Tottenham Hotspur nearing completion, it appears that one player is preparing to quit the club in the coming days

Ange Postecoglou and Daniel Levy were always going to be busy during the January transfer window, given there was still work to be done from the summer.

And, with deals for Dragusin and Timo Werner being pursued fast, it appears Spurs are wanting a similar pace with those departing the club.

Hugo Lloris has already left the ‘unwanted’ list, and it appears that Eric Dier may soon follow.

Journalist Florian Plettenberg just shared an update on X, revealing that tremendous progress has been achieved.

With Dragusin reportedly on his way to North London, Bayern Munich has verbally agreed to a deal with Tottenham for Dier.

Plettenberg released the following statement: “News Dier: FC Bayern have directly spoken with Tottenham bosses about a permanent deal and agreed upon the parameters.”However, no official offer for Dier has been submitted yet!

“New details: Transfer fee: Probably less than €4 million. Contract: 2025 + 1.

Dier is still waiting for a decision. Dragusin has received 0 hijack attempts so far. A Freund has had sporadic communication with Danso’s management in recent weeks.”

Of course, this may be great news for Tottenham fans.

Not only is the club expected to acquire their top defensive target for the window, but they are also releasing a player deemed surplus to needs.

Dier is undeniably a good player; he wouldn’t be talking to Bayern if he wasn’t, but he’s clearly useless to Postecoglou right now.

And if Spurs can get Dragusin, they will have a good starting lineup, including Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.

Perhaps they could still benefit from adding another left-footed defender, but Ben Davies can do a good job for now.

If Tottenham can arrange for Dragusin to arrive and Dier to go in the following days, that will be exceptional work.

With that said, Spurs are currently looking for an impressive midfield target who James Maddison admires.
