Richarlison messaged Timo Werner on Instagram following the striker’s first training session with Tottenham Hotspur yesterday.
Timo Werner was formally unveiled as a new Tottenham player on Tuesday evening, following his loan move from RB Leipzig.
Spurs technical director Johan Lange was reportedly a ‘vital factor’ in the transfer, and Ange Postecoglou feels the striker will thrive in his system.
Werner‘s move to North London has undoubtedly raised some eyebrows following his dismal tenure at Chelsea from 2020-2022.
The 27-year-old scored 44 goals in 89 appearances for the Blues but has struggled for minutes this season since returning to Leipzig in 2022.
However, after formally signing for Spurs on Tuesday evening, Werner went straight to work on the Hotspur Way pitches on Wednesday.
His new teammate Richarlison has also messaged him following his first workout in north London.

Werner took on Instagram on Wednesday evening, saying it ‘felt amazing’ to get started at Tottenham.
He wrote, “First day as a Spur!!!” It felt fairly pleasant.”
Richarlison has been in good form in recent weeks since returning to Postecoglou’s starting lineup.
The 26-year-old has scored five goals in his past five Premier League games.
Of course, with Werner’s arrival, he will have even more competition for a spot on the Australian team.
However, with Heung-Min Son presently gone for the Asian Cup, it would not be surprising if the two started together in attack.
While Werner’s two goals in eight league games for Leipzig this season are not particularly encouraging, he appears to be a good fit for Postecoglou’s style of play.
The German forward’s tremendous quickness and hard work ethic should appeal to Postecoglou.
