“Very grateful,” Ange Postecoglou says of Romano; the £45 million player Tottenham genuinely wants

Fabrizio Romano has been sharing the most recent information he has on Conor Gallagher and his continuous links to Tottenham Hotspur.

Gallagher is a key midfield target for Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou. Chelsea’s captain has yet to sign a new contract, and there is mounting talk that the club may sell him.

If Chelsea sells Gallagher, Tottenham will be first in line to sign him. The North London club has already signed Radu Dragusin and Timo Werner this month, and Ange Postecoglou is also looking for a midfielder.

And, on his Here We Go Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has shared what he knows.

Conor Gallagher’s transfer to Tottenham is still pending.

Speaking on Gallagher and Spurs, Romano stated that he is Ange Postecoglou’s major target, but nothing is being done to close the deal.

Gallagher

“I believe there will always be linkages between Conor Gallagher and Tottenham since the club and, in particular, Ange Postecoglou value him highly. I’m still hearing that they started making contacts in July/August to better grasp the position, and he’s always been highly regarded by the manager, so the curiosity is there. However, I am told that there are still no conversations between clubs or agents to finalize the transaction.

Tottenham are quite pleased with their recent purchases, and any new midfielder must come with an opportunity or after outgoings,” Romano stated.

Chelsea are reported to be searching for at least £45 million before considering selling Gallagher.

One to keep an eye on

This one simply keeps lingering, and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if the ‘great’ Gallagher ends up at Spurs.

Something isn’t right from the Chelsea end, and you’d think if they truly respected him, a new deal would have been arranged by now.

Tottenham will keep pressing the buttons on this deal, you believe. With a few weeks left in January, there is still time for a late deal.

If Gallagher joins Spurs, the club will have had a successful transfer window. If not, don’t rule out them returning in the summer.
