Radu Dragusin, a defender for Tottenham Hotspur who completed his transfer from Genoa last week, has nothing but praise for the team’s stadium.
Last week, Tottenham made two acquisitions, the first of which being Timo Werner.
Following the arrival of the RB Leipzig striker on loan through the rest of the season, Tottenham signed defender Radu Dragusin.
This one was a bit more dramatic because Tottenham had to repel Bayern Munich’s last-minute attempt to hijack the transfer in order to sign the Romanian.
On Sunday, Dragusin made his Tottenham debut after substituting in the 2-2 draw against Manchester United.
Remarks on the Tottenham Hotspur stadium from Radu Dragusin
Dragusin’s next Tottenham outing will now have to wait until after the split Premier League game week.
This gives Dragusin some time to get used to life at Tottenham and in London in general before next Friday’s FA Cup matchup against Manchester City.
Dragusin will play in his first game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Pep Guardiola‘s team, and he seemed to be pleased about it.
In an interview with the London Evening Standard, Dragusin summed up Tottenham‘s stadium in one word: amazing.
Although Dragusin has played in numerous incredible stadiums throughout Italy, his new home is Tottenham, and it’s quite the one.
The centre back thinks that Tottenham is the perfect place for him to succeed right now and that for him and Spurs, the “sky is the limit.”
“With these teammates and [Tottenham’s] amazing stadium, I really believe in this team and that this is a good environment for me to continue my career and to progress,” Dragusin stated. “There is no ceiling. We want to rank as high as we can in the League so that we can gauge our progress from there,” he continued.
When the stadium was eventually finished back in 2019, it became one of Tottenham’s main selling points.
Although there are larger stadiums with a 63,000 capacity nearby, few of them are as aesthetically beautiful as Tottenham’s.
Recent construction by Tottenham has resulted in amazing facilities, so it should come as no surprise that Dragusin is smitten with his new surroundings.
Dragusin hopes to be successful at his new place for a very long time, and his amazement at Tottenham’s stadium may take some time to wear off.
