According to journalist Alan Nixon, Leeds United’s pursuit of Nottingham Forest full-back Neco Williams is currently prohibitively expensive
Leeds are looking for full-backs after agreeing to loan Luke Ayling and ending Djed Spence‘s loan at Elland Road during the current transfer window.
Daniel Farke would want to sign a full-back, but they have yet to make a new signing.
Williams is one of Leeds‘ main objectives, and the club has been working behind the scenes to sign the Nottingham Forest defender on loan.
However, they face competition from Feyenoord for his signature, and it has been said that the deal is also financially challenging for Leeds.
The Whites are keen in bringing the defender to Elland Road, but the deal is currently too expensive for the Yorkshire giants.
Leeds have options lined up, but it is uncertain whether they are willing to discontinue their interest in Williams.
It remains to be seen whether Leeds can arrange a financially viable deal for Williams or if they will pursue other targets.
It has also been stated that Nottingham Forest are not totally committed to letting Williams go.
