Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed that winger Ivan Perisic has been loaned to HNK Hajduk Split until the end of the season, signaling the end of his career with Spurs.
Last summer, Tottenham signed Perisic on a free transfer from Inter Milan, reuniting him with former boss Antonio Conte in North London.
During his first season, he appeared in 34 league games and scored one goal and eight assists. He has since joined, made 50 appearances across all competitions, and contributed With one goal and 14 assists.
With the Croatian international in the final six months of his contract, Tottenham‘s decision signifies the end of his time with them.
The wide attacker has been out since September due to an ACL injury that necessitated surgery on his right knee after a training mishap.
The following season, under Ange Postecoglou‘s coaching, Perisic was anticipated to play an important role in the team. He included him in the campaign’s five games before the player had the tragic injury.
The 34-year-old was due to return from injury in April, but it now appears that Perisic may have already played his final game for Spurs.
Spurs said that they have reached an agreement with the Croatian club. The club’s statement read:
“We have reached an agreement with HNK Hajduk Split to loan Ivan Perisic for the balance of the season. “Good luck, Ivan!”
