Marco Neppe, the technical director of Bayern Munich, has piqued the interest of Tottenham Hotspur, a German newspaper claims.
Max Eberl will take over as the team’s new sporting director starting next month, thus the Bundesliga winners expect to make adjustments off the field.
According to Bild, there will be a few managerial exits, including the farewell of Neppe, who Tottenham has been keeping an eye on.
There are rumors that Bayern and the filmmaker are now discussing ending the director’s contract.
In 2014, he and previous director Michael Reschke came at the club. After beginning his career as a scout and moving up the ranks, Neppe was named technical director of Bayern Munich in December 2021.
He “took a lot of responsibility,” according to the article, in getting Kim Min-jae from Napoli and Harry Kane from Tottenham, respectively, last summer. Additionally, he has participated in the execution of possible projects in the winter market.
According to Bild, Neppe and Bayern have both determined it’s best to split ways. Although the precise timing is unknown, he “has had a request from Tottenham” in the past.
Neppe’s time at Bayern Munich is running out, therefore it makes sense for Spurs or anyone else to make a play for him.
