22-year-old ‘one of the first names’ on Tottenham radar; €40 million would close deal

Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee has been linked with a move away from the club, and Tottenham Hotspur are apparently interested in him.

According to TMW, the 22-year-old attacker is ‘one of the first names’ on Tottenham’s wish list, although it is unclear whether the North London club will be able to complete a deal. A sum of roughly €40 million would enough to seal his signature, and Zirkzee might prove to be a valuable long-term addition to the Premier League team.

Tottenham need to sign a quality striker in the long run, and the Dutchman may be the perfect alternative for Harry Kane. Spurs elected not to replace him at the start of the season, thinking that players like Richarlison would come up and fill the vacuum left by the English international.

That has not been the case thus far, and Tottenham will need to bring in a quality striker.

Zirkzee is undoubtedly good enough for the Premier League, and he might be a long-term asset for the north London club.

Spurs have done well to enhance their squad in recent weeks, but they still need to sign a solid striker to lead the attack.

They have been unduly reliant on Son Heung-min for goals this season. The South Korean international requires further offensive help, and Zirkzee could be a viable alternative.

The Bologna striker has eight goals and four assists in all competitions this season, and it remains to be seen if Tottenham can complete a deal.
