Spurs’ injured player has already been sighted in on-pitch training. Was not supposed to be back until March

Alejo Veliz posted an Instagram video of himself working on grass yesterday, potentially indicating an early return for the injured Tottenham player.

Tottenham are low on veteran strikers, especially after Harry Kane left for Bayern Munich in the summer.

While Heung-min Son and Timo Werner can both play as number nines, Richarlison is perhaps Ange Postecoglou‘s only senior centre-forward option in N17.

As a result, players such as Alejo Veliz and now Dane Scarlett have been given opportunities off the bench in late-game situations. In reality, the Argentine scored from the bench in a 4-2 loss to Brighton before suffering an injury days later against Bournemouth.

Alejo Veliz is already back in training.
Veliz was observed leaving the stadium on crutches that day, and The Evening Standard recently stated that he was not expected to return until March.

Spurs may benefit from an early recovery, as the kid shared a video of his on-pitch training session yesterday.

Having a fully healthy squad can only benefit Postecoglou and Tottenham. Not only will it help his performance on the pitch, but it will also allow him to continue working with the fringe players to increase their knowledge of his methods.
