More terrible news for the Spurs: Doctor reveals summer signing is out for a month and recuperation is ‘difficult’

Ange Postecoglou announced yesterday that winger Manor Solomon has had a setback in his recuperation, and injury expert Dr. Rajpal Brar has provided additional information.

Solomon joined Spurs on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk, having impressed while on loan at Fulham.

However, he has had a disappointing start to his career at the North London club. He got an injury while training in October and has been sidelined since, missing 16 games in all, 17 of which were against Brentford today.

He was supposed to return earlier in January, even ahead of James Maddison.

However, not only has he not yet recovered, but he has also experienced a serious setback.

Dr.Brar told Tottenham News that the player’s meniscus had been fixed, although there were some issues with his recuperation.

He noted that the current setback will cause the player to miss another month of action, with his estimated return date now set for March.

He said:

“He sustained a meniscus damage to his knee and, based on the timing, had it fixed.

“I don’t place too much stock in original timelines, especially for injuries with long absences, so the timeline being pushed back didn’t surprise me too much.

“However, he has had a setback as a result of his complicated rehabilitation.

“I think he’s going to be gone for another month. It will take him some time to return to training as well.
