Everton loanee Neal Maupay takes weird shot at James Maddison on Instagram following Tottenham’s win

As Brentford fell to Tottenham on Wednesday night, Loaned-out Everton striker Neal Maupay took aim at Spurs star James Maddison.

Maupay, 27, scored his fourth Premier League goal of the season as the Bees lost 3-2 away to North London.

After scoring, he decided to taunt Madison by imitating the England international’s dart celebration.

Even though Brentford lost to Brennan Johnson, who subsequently did the same thing to mock Maupay when he scored, the Everton loanee took to Instagram to continue talking about Maddison.

The French striker wrote on his personal Instagram account: “I went a little early with that one.

“I’m disappointed we didn’t win. In my career, I’ve scored more goals and been relegated fewer times than James Maddison. “We’ll go again Monday, Bees.”

You lost.

What’s Maupay up to?

You choose to mock one of the top midfielders in the Premier League while playing away from his team.

You eventually lost the game.

TOT VS BRE
And now you’re on Instagram bragging about not being relegated as many times as him, which is bizarre behaviour.

Maupay has been a dreadful player for Everton, and based on his form at Brentford while on loan in West London this season, he hasn’t been great for them either, starting only nine times in the Premier League.

Brentford is a team Everton will be hoping to finish above of in the battle against relegation, but with the Bees only four points clear of the drop zone, it’s strange to be talking about not getting relegated as frequently as Maddison.

He has also contrasted his scoring record as a striker to that of a midfielder.

Grow up, Neal.
