Vicario made a harsh betting-related insult at Ivan Toney after the victory over Brentford

Guglielmo Vicario was once again one of the game’s talking points following his victory over Brentford.

Tottenham Hotspur overcame a half-time deficit to defeat The Bees 3-2.

Despite conceding an early goal when Neal Maupay converted a rebound from Guglielmo Vicario‘s save, Spurs recovered in the second half.

Spurs came out strong in the second half. Destiny Udogie, who was at fault for the goal conceded, equalised at the 48-minute mark by tucking home Timo Werner‘s cutback, and a minute later, Brennan Johnson pushed the ball into the back of the net with a Werner assist.

Richarlison added a third goal to secure Tottenham‘s lead. Although Brentford’s Ivan Toney scored to make it 3-2, Spurs held on to their lead and won.

Guglielmo Vicario, Tottenham‘s goalkeeper, had an interesting game, making three saves but losing two goals, one of which came from a rebound.

Fans were drawn to Vicario’s post-game comments more than his play.

Vicario appeared to exchange words with Ivan Toney following the game. Toney has recently returned from an eight-month suspension after being found guilty of breaching betting rules.

Following the game, the Italian shot-stopper aired his harsh jab at Toney. He stated:

“He spoke to me a lot during the match. When it was over, I just told him I hoped he hadn’t bet on that outcome.”

Guglielmo Vicario on what he told Ivan Toney at full-time:

“He spoke to me a lot during the match. When it was over, I told him I hoped he hadn’t wagered on that outcome.
