The Rs play Rotherham at Loftus Road this Saturday, in what appears to be a critical opportunity for Marti Cifuentes to pick up three more points.

With only one defeat in their last six Championship games, QPR’s fortunes had begun to improve under new manager Marti Cifuentes. The Rs have won against Millwall, Blackburn Rovers, and Bristol City, igniting a survival struggle, with murmurs of optimism beginning to emerge at Loftus Road.

However, QPR supporters were brought back down to earth last week when the London club released its accounts for the 22/23 season, with the figures startling not only fans but football enthusiasts around the country. Football finance expert Kieran Maguire revealed the data on X.

It was revealed that QPR had not spent any money on player transfer fees yet still managed to lose £20 million, despite earning £2 million from player sales. The club invested £12 million in training facilities and was lent £30 million by shareholders.

The club has lost nearly £20 million in the last three years as the pressure to stay in the Championship and avoid relegation to League One grows.
Leeds United gained a boost regarding Wonderkid’s future.

Leeds United have received a boost in their effort to keep Archie Gray at Elland Road this summer, with reputed suitors Liverpool unlikely to pay the £40 million price tag for the star this summer.

Leeds United have received a boost in their effort to keep Archie Gray at Elland Road this summer, with reputed suitors Liverpool unlikely to pay the £40 million price tag for the star this summer.

Journalist Neil Jones said on his Substack website that it would ‘feel like a strange move’ for the Reds to invest in the 17-year-old since there are already so many possibilities at Anfield, including promising young players. Gray can play as a full-back or in central midfield.  Watch: Leeds United Inside Elland Road | Trekkoslovakia  Jones stated, “When you are 17 and playing at the level Archie Gray has been playing at, and on such a consistent basis, you are bound to attract attention, and Liverpool have been linked once more with the Leeds wonderkid.”
But Liverpool insiders were quite dismissive when tales arose earlier this season indicating the Reds were ready to pay huge money on the teenager, and while he is obviously a big talent, it is difficult to see too much sense in such a deal just now.”

has also been linked with a transfer for Gray, who recently extended his contract at Leeds United until 2027/28. Former Whites great Jermaine Beckford has described the youngster as ‘amazing’ and ‘phenomenal’ this season, and his value will undoubtedly climb further at Elland Road.
