‘It would be disastrous’: Pundit anticipates catastrophic setback for Tottenham

If Tottenham do not qualify for the Champions League, Ange Postecoglou will undoubtedly attract interest from big European clubs, according to Paul Robinson.

The pundit is hopeful that the Australian will lead the club into the premier European competition this year, but after a stunning start to his Spurs career, the form has become much more inconsistent, with a 2-1 home loss to Wolves this weekend leaving them fifth, which may or may not be good enough to get in this year.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he stated: “I would like to believe that from a Tottenham perspective, they will be in the Champions League next season, and he has no decision to make.

“The relationship he’s built with Tottenham fans, the way he’s brought the club together, it would be devastating if he left.

“But, yes, you are anxious because as soon as you acquire a successful manager, you will receive admiring glances from all over Europe, even if you are not one of the top European clubs. “That will always be a problem.”

Champions League football will retain Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham.

Postecoglou has previously managed in the Champions League with Celtic and is unlikely to consider it a condition for staying after only one Premier League season.

Ange and WERNER

However, it is well known that Barcelona and Liverpool will be seeking for a new manager in the summer, after both Xavi and Jurgen Klopp confirmed their departures.

So, while it seems improbable that the Spurs manager will stay in North London indefinitely, it is not impossible that a large offer to him and the club would be made.
