Leeds United fans went viral on social media after singing along to Kaiser Chiefs’ ‘I Predict A Riot’ after their Championship victory against Leicester yesterday (February 23).
A tweet from Leeds United’s official social media account on X/Twitter captured the moment following the club’s triumph over Leicester in a video that has been viewed over two million times since it was posted yesterday evening after the game.
Leeds pulled off a surprising comeback in the closing 10 minutes of the match, defeating the Championship leaders 3-1 after trailing since the 15th minute and a goal from Wout Faes.
Leeds gained win at Elland with goals from Connor Roberts, Archie Gray, and Patrick Bamford.
Subsequent goals from Connor Roberts, Archie Gray, and Patrick Bamford clinched Leeds’ triumph at Elland Road, sending Leeds fans leaping up and down while belting out the Kaiser Chiefs classic.
The victory puts the squad just six points behind Leicester, the current league leaders. The band’s frontman, Ricky Wilson, is a Leeds supporter, and the band responded to the fans on social media by sharing Leeds United’s post with some high-five emojis.

Frontman Wilson recently recounted earlier insults from Mark E. Smith and Oasis.
Wilson, speaking to NME as part of our ‘Does Rock ‘N’ Roll Kill Braincells?!’ quiz, correctly guessed that late Fall legend Smith had stated “the Kaiser Chiefs and Arctic Monkeys should open a chain of chip shops in North Yorkshire”.
Wilson responded to the dig over two decades later, telling NME, “I respect and admire Mark E. Smith a lot, and I’d respect and admire him a lot less if he respected me!” He went on: “So beautifully done, Mark E. RIP. Nobody ever said he should have started a tent company named Marquee Smiths.
He went on to say that he had previously “met up” with Oasis, “but we haven’t laughed about old pops they’ve had at me” in reference to former jibes from both Liam and Noel Gallagher.
Wilson continued, “
[I’m] not the type of man who would approach Liam Gallagher about the things he’s said about me in the past, since I’m sure he’s forgotten most of them, and I don’t care. “Would I like to become his friend? Definitely. Do I believe I could be? Probably not. I think he’s quite skilled at being funny. I don’t think he’s ever attempted to be hurtful to me, and I hope he keeps his hilarity under control.”
