The Sevilla defender Loic Bade has recently been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
The defender recently stated that it is an honor for him to be connected with large teams such as Tottenham, but he is currently focused on performing well for the Spanish club.
Fabrizio Romano, a transfer analyst, has now commented on the 23-year-old defender’s potential signing.
According to Romano, Tottenham have never discussed signing Bade and are unlikely to do so in the future.
The journalist stated on The Daily Briefing that “Loic Bade could go in the summer if he receives a solid proposition. Tottenham never initiated talks for him in January, as far as I know; they also signed Radu Dragusin and believe in him for the future, so there has been no movement thus far, according to my knowledge.
It would be surprising if they decided to sign another experienced defender at the end of the season. Bade is unlikely to receive regular game time at Tottenham if he joins the club, therefore the move would not be beneficial to the player as well.
At this point in his career, the 23-year-old needs to play on a regular basis, so he should look for a club that would provide him plenty of opportunities.
They are currently aiming for UEFA Champions League qualification. It will be interesting to see whether Tottenham can finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League.
Bade, a 23-year-old defender, will try to impress at Sevilla from now until the end of the season. It’ll be interesting to see where he ends up.
