Yes it does’ – Pundit says door is open for permanent Leeds signing after confirmed leaving

Leeds United: Jaidon Anthony might make a permanent transfer once Luis Sinisterra moves to Bournemouth.

Paul Robinson concedes that Luis Sinisterra‘s confirmed departure from Leeds United to Bournemouth creates an opportunity for Jaidon Anthony to do the same in reverse.

The on-loan winger joined Elland Road late on Transfer Deadline Day this summer, after his Colombian counterpart was forced to return to the Premier League.

Sinisterra has subsequently completed a £20 million deal and will not be returning to West Yorkshire, but while Robinson believes this provides Anthony a “opportunity” to stay, it will not be decided before the end of the season.

And after spending the campaign trailing Crysencio Summerville, Dan James, and, most recently, Willy Gnonto, he believes the 24-year-old still has “more to prove” before a contract can be reached.

He exclusively told MOT Leeds News: “It gives him a chance. However, there are many decisions to be made with Leeds, and it all depends on which league they will play in next year.

Leeds‘ transfer dealings will be determined by the league they are in. Yes, it gives Anthony the possibility to make the move permanent, just as Sinisterra did.

“But I believe he still has more to prove. He isn’t a regular starter. He comes on and has an impact off the bench, but I believe a lot of decisions will be made at the conclusion of the season.

Jaidon Anthony has more to prove at Leeds United before a permanent deal becomes realistic.

Luis Sinisterra
With Summerville, James, and Gnonto, the Whites have probably the best trio of wide men in the Championship this season.

And, while Sinisterra and possibly Jack Harrison will not return to further crowd that pitch, Anthony has most likely not convinced Daniel Farke that he has to spend the money to keep him at Elland Road.

A lot of that isn’t necessarily the Englishman’s fault, but with only two goals and one assist in all competitions, and his 30 appearances totaling 900 minutes [Transfermarkt], he hasn’t been indispensable, and the manager may be looking for others if he gets the club promoted.
