Divock Origi vs Jurgen Klop

I can tell you… Nuno says ‘improving’ Nottingham Forest player might earn his third league start against Liverpool.

Nuno, Nottingham Forest’s head coach, has provided his thoughts on Divock Origi ahead of the Premier League encounter against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Origi, a former Liverpool striker, moved to Forest on loan from AC Milan in the summer of 2023.
So, what has Nuno said about Divock Origi ahead of Nottingham Forest’s game against Liverpool at the City Ground? Let’s have a look.

Divock Origi might start for Nottingham Forest against Liverpool.
Nuno, Nottingham Forest‘s head coach, has been preparing for Saturday afternoon’s Premier League encounter against Liverpool at the City Ground, and he has praised Divock Origi.

Nuno has stated that the former Liverpool striker has been progressing and that he could debut for Forest this Saturday.

Origi moved to Forest on loan from AC Milan in the summer of 2023. This season, the 28-year-old striker has made two starts and ten substitute appearances in the Premier League, assisting once.
The Liverpool Echo cites Nuno as stating on Origi: “I still haven’t decided who is going to play, but I can tell you Divock is improving.”

“He has been in and out, and some minor difficulties have slowed his progress. But in the first half (against Manchester United), he was fantastic, and for us, he is a solution because he can play on the right, left, and centre. So we need the best version of Divock.

My View: Divock Origi will have a thing to prove against Liverpool.
In my perspective, Nottingham Forest striker Divock Origi will have everything to prove against his previous team Liverpool.

Origi was only a little contributor at Liverpool. True, he won the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League with Liverpool, and he scored some key goals.

But Origi was never a regular starter for Liverpool. He may be a cult icon among Liverpool fans, but the 28-year-old Belgium international striker has not been missed since his departure in 2022.

I think the striker will have plenty to prove to Liverpool. The Belgian could be trying to demonstrate FSG that they should have given him a new contract instead of releasing him when his term expired.
