Liverpool are currently assessing defender Ibrahima Konate’s fitness ahead of Sunday’s Premier League game against Manchester City at Anfield.
The centre-back was substituted in the 51st minute of Thursday night’s 5-1 Europa League win against Sparta Prague, requiring on-field treatment before leaving Stadion Letna.
In his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, Jürgen Klopp provided an update on the overall state of his squad: “Yeah, fresh, Joe Gomez is OK – Ibou, I’m not sure.
“Ibou was very happy last night; he thought he made the right decision at the appropriate time by suggesting it’s better I go off. Unfortunately, how we know does not signify much. He will surely get scanned, but I don’t have the findings yet. “All the others are fine.”
When asked about Mohamed Salah directly after his comeback, he replied: “Mo, there is nothing. “He’s fine.”
