The Citizens go to Anfield on Sunday for a Premier League table-topping battle, with the reigning champions trailing the leading Reds by a point.
Trent Alexander-Arnold stated before of the game that due to financial differences between the clubs, winning trophies is more important to Liverpool.

His manager, Jurgen Klopp, backed him, but City stars Erling Haaland and Ruben Dias responded to the comments that fueled the fire.

And now it’s Guardiola‘s chance to contribute to the conversation ahead of what might be a title-deciding game this weekend.

When asked if it will be easier to face Liverpool without Klopp next season, he replied: “I would like to know, but I don’t think so. Liverpool has always been Liverpool, and the contenders are present.”
Guardiola then appeared to imply that Arsenal may be a stronger title contender than City, in a veiled dig at the Merseyside club.
He said: “Arsenal is already there; they were our main competitors last season. “Observe how they play.”Liverpool typically requires more than 90 minutes to win games.Arsenal occasionally needs only 25 minutes to win a game. That is why they are there.

“I guess Tottenham will make a step forward and Manchester United and Newcastle will maybe be back having one game a week.”It’s next season, and I can’t think about what will happen next.”
Arsenal is one point behind City, making it a three-horse contest for the title this season.
The Gunners led City for most of the season, but their late-season results slipped, and they ended second.
Liverpool is also no stranger to challenging City for the crown, having done it in several seasons during the last decade.
With only 11 games remaining, every outcome in the following weeks will be important to all three sides’ prospects of going all the way.
