The Liverpool kid has thrived away from Anfield.
Owen Beck will return to Liverpool for treatment after suffering an injury during his loan spell at Dundee.
This season, the left-back has prospered with the Scottish club, scoring twice and providing four assists in 29 games.
Beck was briefly recalled in January while Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas were sidelined with shoulder and collarbone injuries, and he made his Premier League debut off the bench in a 4-0 victory over Bournemouth.
He later rejoined Dundee before the transfer window closed.
Beck, on the other hand, was forced to miss last week’s 1-0 triumph over Aberdeen due to soreness in both groynes.
The Dark Blues’ match versus Rangers over the weekend was postponed due of a flooded Dens Park ground, though the defender was supposed to be away.
Beck’s absence is expected to be between 4-6 weeks. It means he will be unavailable for Wales under-21s duties during the international break, as well as for the remainder of the season.
“Owen is looking at four to six weeks on the sidelines,” Dundee manager Tony Docherty told The Courier.
“We’ve been monitoring and controlling his groyne, and he’ll now get a scan on it. Liverpool, his parent club, has a significant influence and will provide the best possible treatment for him.
“He will go down there for that, certainly for this period because he’s their player and they want to look at it themselves.”
After Beck returned to Liverpool in January, manager Jurgen Klopp stated: “We were always quite bullish about Owen, but then he had two really terrible loan periods [at Famalicao and Bolton Wanderers last season].
“It was surprising that it didn’t work out because of our feelings about Owen, but that’s how it is with young boys.
Sending someone away from home can lead to a variety of consequences.
Things must always match well: the right manager, the appropriate team, and the presence of an experienced left-back.
There are numerous factors that can prevent a loan spell from taking place, but everything was in order at Dundee, and he made significant progress.
“Now, the situation is plain. We’ve lost two left-backs, so it makes sense to bring back a player we like who is available.”
