Liverpool have been told they can sign Michael Edwards’ target for £40 million; he would like to transfer to Anfield.

Well, Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing Jean-Clair Todibo from OGC Nice this summer.

That is according to French news outlet Nice-Matin. Which also stated that the France international is interested in a move to Liverpool.

OGC Nice has now set a price for Todibo, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The trustworthy Italian writer wrote:

“Understand Jean-Clair Todibo will be valued by OGC Nice around £40 million for the summer transfer window.”

He has been on Manchester United‘s radar since last summer. But other Premier League clubs are keeping an eye on him as well.

French international and OGC Nice vice captain may be on the move.”

Liverpool appear to be looking for a new central defender to replace Joel Matip, who has struggled with injuries this season, making only 14 appearances, and sees his contract expire in july.

Todibo has made 25 appearances in all competitions this season, and following a recent incident, the defender appears set to leave OGC Nice this summer.

The 24-year-old recently got into an altercation with his own followers.

Todibo fought with OGC Nice fans during a 2-1 defeat to Montpellier, in which the Liverpool target scored an own goal to give his team the worst possible start.

That incident, combined with the fact that OGC Nice has made its asking price public, clearly suggests that the guy from Cayenne will be on the move this summer.
