Ange Postecoglou might start with ‘outstanding’ Tottenham’s 22-year-old faces West Ham

Tottenham Hotspur will strive for their second Premier League win in a row on Tuesday night, despite a quick turnaround between games.

Spurs, led by Ange Postecoglou, rallied from behind to defeat Luton Town 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

Spurs remained close to fourth-placed Aston Villa, and with a game in hand, the Lilywhites will be optimistic about their chances.

Tottenham will play a London derby away to West Ham on Tuesday night, a squad whose league form has dipped in recent weeks.

The Hammers suffered a 4-3 loss at Newcastle last week and drew with Villa and Burnley prior to the international break.

Postecoglou has no new injury concerns as Spurs prepare to play away to West Ham, but he does have some selection headaches.

For example, the Tottenham manager must pick who will form the starting front line for the journey to east London.

Who might Ange Postecoglou start in attack for Tottenham against West Ham?

Richarlison had a cameo appearance against Luton and emerged uninjured, but Brennan Johnson‘s game-changing performance cemented his place in the starting lineup.

The 22-year-old came on after the break and, within six minutes, provoked an own goal from Issa Kabore with a cross into the area.

Although his effort did not count as an assist, Johnson went on to add to his season’s assist total by poking Timo Werner’s cross back for Son Heung-min to score.

Johnson should have scored with the effort that was declared incomplete, and he also contributed numerous more chance-creating passes for his teammates.

The Wales international took some time to adjust to his new surroundings after his £47.5 million move from Nottingham Forest, but he’s back on top form.

Johnson has been characterised as “excellent” and a player who “has it all.” It will be wonderful to observe how he grows in the next years.

For Tottenham‘s trip to West Ham, a front three of Werner, Son, and Johnson appears to be the strongest option. Let’s see what occurs at 7:15pm, when the team news is released.
