‘I simply feel that,’ Harry Redknapp predicts who will finish fourth: Spurs or Aston Villa

Harry Redknapp believes Tottenham Hotspur will beat Aston Villa to fourth place, citing the Lilywhites’ better team.

Manchester United briefly appeared to challenge for Champions League qualifying a few weeks ago, but they have since lost ground, and are now considerably behind Tottenham and Aston Villa.

Spurs and Villa now appear to be in a straight fight for the final guaranteed Champions League position, with Unai Emery’s side only two points ahead of the North London side despite having played one more game.

All indications are that the race will go down to the wire, and the two sides will be praying that the Premier League receives an additional Champions League slot, so that fifth place will be enough to qualify for the competition next season.

Harry Redknapp predicts Tottenham for the top four.

Redknapp supported his previous side to beat Villa in the last game, implying that Ange Postecoglou’s men have more talent than the Midlands side.

When asked to forecast who will finish fourth, the 77-year-old told talkSPORT: “I’ve always thought Tottenham would finish fourth. They have a good group, and I believe they will finish above Villa.

“Villa have done great this year, they’ve had a fantastic season but I just feel that Tottenham maybe have a slightly stronger squad that could nick that fourth place.”

Both Tottenham and Villa have some difficult games left this season, but Spurs have performed more better against the top sides than Villa have thus far, which could give Postecoglou’s team an advantage.

The fact that Emery‘s side has more fixtures since they are still performing well in the Europa Conference League may possibly work against them in the final stretch.
