Leeds United are currently in a strong position to recruit Midtjylland striker Sory Kaba this summer.
The Whites are in competition with West Brom, Cardiff, and Watford to sign the Guinea talisman, the tabloid said in its print edition on August 1.
Kaba spent the second half of the previous season on loan at Cardi ff City, possibly providing them an advantage over their rivals, where he attracted a lot of interest after scoring eight goals in 17 games.
An intriguing possibility
Kaba would be a unique option for Leeds because his game differs from some of the other strikers the team has been connected with. With his finishing and aerial prowess, he presents a direct threat that could force Leeds to switch up their approach, perhaps later in games.
This is a different approach from Patrick Bamford and Georginio Rutter, the current striker possibilities for Leeds, as well as from Joel Piroe of Swansea, with whom Leeds had been highly connected during this transfer window.
Leeds will be interested in the striker’s track record at Championship level as they seek to return to the Premier League right away.
In an effort to be as strong as possible, the new Leeds chairman Paraag Marathe has previously declared [Leeds Live, 18 July] that he will make every effort to put Daniel Farke’s most competitive group on the pitch.
This implies that Leeds will assemble a group of players with a wealth of experience, which Kaba undoubtedly possesses. The striker, who is 28 years old and has played in five different nations throughout his career, also has a tonne of experience.
As the season draws closer, it is one to watch.
