Jamie O’Hara has pushed his previous side Tottenham Hotspur to recruit Newcastle’s Alexander Isak following an unbelievable goal-scoring streak.
Despite a huge shopping spree in the summer transfer window, Ange Postecoglou‘s side is still without an out-and-out striker.
With Harry Kane leaving for Bayern Munich, many expected the recouped £100 million to be used on a like-for-like replacement, but the money were distributed elsewhere on the team.
With Son Heung-Min playing as a striker for much of the season and Richarlison battling for consistency, the number nine position is an apparent upgrade for the North London club.
With numerous elite teams poised to enter the striker market this summer, and with few options available, Spurs will need to act quickly to secure an adequate acquisition.
According to former midfielder O’Hara, the club should act quickly to get Newcastle‘s outstanding player, Isak.
“I’d give anything to sign him. We won’t do it because we won’t stick our hands in our pockets.” He spoke on TalkSport via HITC.
“Anyone would want him. The only issue with him is his injury. That is the problem with him.”
The Swedish striker now has 21 goals in all competitions this season, following his astonishing double against Tottenham on Saturday afternoon.
However, with Arsenal also said to be interested in his talents, a deal will not be easy or cheap, with Newcastle reportedly asking for approximately £100 million.
