‘I’M LEAVING’: LEEDS UNITED PLAYER WITH A ‘HEAVY HEART’ SENDS EMOTIONAL MESSAGE TO FANS

Max Wober has stated that he will leave Leeds United this summer with a ‘heavy heart’ after only joining the club in January.

After Leeds United were relegated to the Championship last season, German club Borussia Monchengladbach captured the 25-year-old’s abilities on a season-long loan contract, and Max Wober stated on Instagram that ‘it is a vital step to demonstrate myself at the top level’.

Leeds United paid Red Bull Salzburg £11 million (Sky Sports) for the versatile player just six months ago.

Wober was meant to demonstrate his worthiness for ‘the greatest level’ at that point, with the Premier League considered as the toughest test of them all on the domestic front.

But, like many of his teammates, he was depressed as he watched the team slip back to the Championship without a fight.

Wober promised the Yorkshire faithful that he will “support Leeds no matter what.” If he said that, wouldn’t he stay on board? Regardless, this is his message to his followers.

“I regret to inform you that I will be leaving Leeds United on loan for the upcoming season,” Wober wrote. “I’ll be eternally grateful for the help you gave me from the moment I stepped onto Elland Road.” It means a great deal to me.

“I completely understand some of your disappointment. But, for me, it’s an essential step towards proving myself at the top level and securing a berth on Austria’s national squad for the Euros in 2024. I can only wish the club the best of luck while I’m away. “I’ll be there for you no matter what, wherever I go.”

Leeds must clear out the deadwood.

That’s probably the umpteenth player to leave on loan, but the club can’t do anything because of last season’s debacle.

However, when these players return from loan spells, they must be kicked out as soon as feasible.

They have revealed their real colours by dragging Leeds into this mess and then jumping ship at the earliest opportunity.
