With Dan James’s recent growth, Jaidon Anthony might have an opportunity to salvage his career at Leeds United

Dan James’s injury couldn’t have happened at a worse moment, especially with the pressure on. Following the victory against Middlesbrough, the Welsh international immediately went down the tunnel, and as a result, he is now ruled out of Friday’s match against QPR (26 April).

Although the winger’s absence will hurt Leeds’ chances of getting promoted, it might also provide Jaidon Anthony the chance to revive his career at Elland Road after spending several weeks on the sidelines.
In just two of his 29 Championship outings this season, the Bournemouth loanee has been picked in Farke’s starting lineup.

Although he has played 439 minutes and scored once, he is now essentially a rotation option.

In Anthony’s initial loan departure from the south coast club, Leeds United did not contain a buyout option, and Cherries manager Andoni Iraloa has already stated that he is excited to have the 24-year-old back at the Vitality.
But now that James is out, the winger has the opportunity to close out the season strong, which might force Leeds to think about making a permanent move at the end of the campaign.

The Whites’ season and maybe Anthony’s loan stint will be determined by the final two games of the current campaign. If he can score a goal or two against Southampton or QPR, he has the ability to propel Leeds to the Premier League and alter the perception of his switch.

The 24-year-old has the chance to end his term at Elland Road and possibly win a permanent move, but it remains to be seen if he seizes this opportunity with both hands.

In unrelated Leeds United news, Junior Firpo‘s “sensational” performance against Middlesbrough astounded a Sky Sports analyst.
