Ben Parker has made a score prediction for Friday night matchup against QPR

Ben Parker has shared his prediction for Leeds United’s trip to Queens Park Rangers tomorrow night. The Whites will be looking to build on Monday night’s 4-3 victory at Middlesbrough by making it back-to-back wins for the first time since before the international break.

With Leicester City’s emphatic 5-0 win over Southampton all but confirming their promotion, it is now a two-horse race for that second spot between Leeds and Ipswich Town.

Leeds are currently a point clear of Ipswich in second but have played a game more. With Daniel Farke’s side playing first this weekend, a win would pile the pressure on Ipswich ahead of trips to Hull and Coventry City.

Leeds will have had 48 hours less preparation time than QPR for the match, something BBC pundit Jon Newsome believes is ‘disgusting’, but hopefully it can actually turn into an advantage.

Parker predicts the result of QPR vs Leeds on Friday Having made a return to winning ways by scoring four goals, Leeds should be full of confidence once again going into this one.

However, they could come up against a QPR side who setup similarly to how Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers both found success against Leeds recently.

Since Leeds has had trouble playing against deep defends this season and QPR is so close to making it out of the league, it would not be shocking if they were content to settle for a point. Parker believes Leeds will have enough to get three points, although he can see QPR setting up that way.

LEEDS VS QPR

Parker made this prediction on the most recent episode of the LS11 Podcast. “Loftus Road always feels like a tight, compact ground, and that [QPR not being safe] probably adds to how they will setup, being defensive,” he stated. They have four points, but you would believe they are somewhat secure because there are so many teams separating them from the bottom three.

They could pose a challenge to Leeds because they are playing for a point and, if they can secure one, it should guarantee them a spot in the Championship the next season.

However, after Monday, Summerville was back to his best, Rutter appeared to be in the ballpark of his best, Gnonto was on fire, and Bamford scored. The front four had a mixed performance against Sunderland and Blackburn, but they all performed well the other night. That is a significant distinction.

It will be close; I don’t see it being a basketball match like the one against Boro. All we need is a moment from one of the four players, and that’s what we’ll get. Being patient and then playing good defence as a unit will help QPR get a few minutes.

We’ll win the game with a clean sheet. Forecast: Leeds 0–2 QPR. Leeds must get past their poor away performance against QPR.

This is a crucial game for Leeds in their pursuit of the top two because a loss would give Ipswich the advantage going into their next two encounters. Furthermore, Leeds will have to significantly improve on their recent performance at Loftus Road in order to win the three points, since it is not looking good reading.

Leeds has only triumphed once in their previous seven visits to QPR, which includes three straight defeats. Their latest victory was in December 2017 thanks to a 3-1 victory secured by a hat-trick from Kemar Roofe.
