Crysencio Summerville’s position towards leaving Elland Road this summer in the event that Leeds United are not promoted

Crysencio Summerville is already one of the Leeds United players generating interest ahead of the summer.

Summerville has had an excellent season at Elland Road, winning the Championship’s Player of the Season award after scoring 19 goals and assisting nine times.

Given his age and the quality of his performances this season, numerous big clubs have already started surrounding him ahead of the summer, when he will enter the final two years of his contract.

Bundesliga champions aim for a treble Bayer Leverkusen is one among those interested, and Arne Slot has been connected with the job at Liverpool following Jurgen Klopp’s departure.

Summerville still has a massive job on his hands in attempting to help Leeds return to the Premier League, but the summer will surely be a busy one for him regardless of the outcome.

Summerville’s attitude on Elland Road exit if Leeds fail to win the play-offs
Failure to achieve promotion this season will undoubtedly result in the sale of some important players this summer, as 49ers Enterprises has already recognised.

Leeds would need to generate finances to comply with the EFL’s PSR guidelines, as parachute payments would be reduced from 55% to 45% in the second season following relegation.

Unfortunately, Summerville is among many in the Leeds team who would command a higher fee, making the money they could earn difficult to turn down.

According to Team Talk, Leeds value Summerville at between £30 and £40 million and would try to hold out for that price even if they stay in the Championship.

However, according to the same report, Summerville would not try to force an Elland Road exit this summer because he is content with his current club.

Of course, this does not rule him out of leaving in any way, given the club’s need to sell if Leeds are not promoted, but he will ‘not look to rock the boat’ by attempting to go.
