A journalist for Sky News reports on what he’s now learning from Tottenham employees.

To say Tottenham have had a bizarre week is an understatement.

Spurs fell 2-0 to Manchester City on Tuesday, but many Tottenham fans were pleased with the outcome.

Indeed, Tottenham’s defeat meant that Arsenal were suddenly considered long shots to win the Premier League title, and there was a weird vibe in the stadium as a result.

Ange Postecoglou was plainly unhappy with this approach following the game, and according to James Green, other Spurs players are as well.

Speaking on the Highbury Squad YouTube channel, Green indicated that people he has spoken with at Tottenham are dissatisfied with how things have gone behind the scenes, adding that some staff members were even discussing how they wanted to lose on Tuesday.

According to Green, there is dissatisfaction within Tottenham.

“I spoke with someone at Tottenham last night, and they’re not happy. “They’re not happy with how everything has gone behind the scenes at Tottenham,” Green stated.

“Behind the scenes at Tottenham staff members at the club were talking about how they don’t want Tottenham to win, staff members who work for the club were talking about how they want Tottenham to lose.”

Tottenham mentalities must shift.

Some Spurs fans are dissatisfied, and it’s understandable why.

Going into work at a football club and praying your team loses a game is just such a pathetic mentality, especially since Champions League football is still on the card.

It’s as clichĂ© as it gets, but mentality is what makes a champion more than talent, and if Spurs officials speak in this manner behind the scenes, that attitude will spread across the organisation.

Something has to change at Tottenham, and those who are dissatisfied with the club’s views must be the ones to bring about the changes.
