Ange Postecoglou can’t ignore Mikey Moore at Tottenham after what occurred on Friday.

Mikey Moore continues to prove to Ange Postecoglou that he will not be overlooked at Tottenham next season.

Tottenham’s teenage star has had a spectacular few weeks.

Moore trained with the first team near the conclusion of the season and went on to make two Premier League appearances off the bench.

He became the youngest player to play in the Premier League for Tottenham, and it appears like he has continued that momentum into the UEFA Under-17 European Championships.

After scoring twice in England’s 4-0 triumph over France’s Under-17s on Tuesday (21 May), the attacker was on target once more as he continues to send a message to Postecoglou for next season.

The Young Lions lost their second match of the competition, but Moore had another outstanding night.

The 16-year-old scored three goals in two games, including a 4-1 loss against Portugal’s Under-17s.

Moore equalised just before halftime after Rodrigo Mora had opened the scoring.

The winger got on the end of Leo Shahar’s cross and scored calmly to level the game.

Portugal went on to score three goals in the second half and win the match, but Moore’s remarkable run in the competition thus far should not be overlooked.

He is continuing to demonstrate to Postecoglou that he is ready for greater first-team play next season, and the Australian must make sure Moore is on the plane for Spurs’ pre-season tour.

England will need a positive result against Spain on Monday (27 May) to advance from Group D.

Moore has the perfect opportunity to once again put his name in lights, forcing Postecoglou to take notice.
