Sources tell Football Insider that Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham are all interested in Birmingham City star Menzi Mazwi.
The 18-year-old offensive midfielder is out of contract this summer and, although having yet to play for the first team, is highly regarded both internally and internationally.
Birmingham City has given Mazwi a three-year professional contract, but the adolescent has yet to determine where he will spend his future.
The player’s possible availability has piqued the interest of Premier League clubs United, Chelsea, and Tottenham, who are eager to sign the promising kid for a compensation price of as little as £300,000.
There is also international interest, with Bundesliga clubs Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig both in the running.
Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig are also interested in Menzi Mazwi.
A transfer outside of the UK would further cut Mazwi’s costs.
Birmingham City’s relegation from the Championship to the third division may provide an opportunity to accelerate Mazwi’s involvement with the senior side, but it also weakens their position as they seek to retain their emerging star.
Birmingham are looking for a new manager following the announcement that Tony Mowbray would not return.
Football Insider originally reported that Mowbray will not return, and on Monday revealed that three-time promotion winner Alex Neil is now in pole position to take the post after excelling in an interview.
