Danny Rose says he’d prefer a ‘world-class’ manager to get the Tottenham position.

Spurs are currently in the thick of the Ange Postecoglou era, but a proposal for who the club should hire next has been offered.

Indeed, speaking on The Spurs Show, Danny Rose stated that he would want to see Mauricio Pochettino return to Tottenham.

Of course, Rose worked with Pochettino during his time at Spurs, and when discussing the Argentine, he has stated that he believes he has unfinished business at the club and hopes to see him return one day.

Danny Rose backs Mauricio Pochettino’s return to Tottenham

Rose discussed the ‘world class’ manager and his prospective return to Spurs.

“There were reports that he was expecting for a rebuild, but it did not materialise. I’m a major Ange supporter right now, but if Poch had inherited everything he has, he’d still be at the club,’ Rose added.

“I was gutted when he went. They say you should never go back, but I believe he has unfinished business at Tottenham and will hopefully return.”

Postecoglou is not going anywhere yet.

While it would be lovely to see Pochettino return to Tottenham one day, this is unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Indeed, Ange Postecoglou is only getting started at Spurs, and while Tottenham’s record at the conclusion of the season was not fantastic, it’s difficult to see the Australian being fired in the near future.

Postecoglou appears to be the man Daniel Levy is backing to take Spurs to the top, and he will be given all of the resources he needs to reform Tottenham and return them to the heights they came so close to achieving under Pochettino.

Perhaps Pochettino will return to Spurs one day, but that could be many years away.
