Manchester United is reportedly interested in re-signing Tottenham Hotspur left-back Sergio Reguilon this summer, according to Spanish outlet Diario AS.

The Red Devils are looking at signing Reguilon, who had a brief loan spell with them last season.

Reguilon, who is in the final year of his Spurs deal, is expected to leave North London this summer.

Tottenham are looking to sell the 27-year-old defender, who is not in Ange Postecoglou‘s plans for the upcoming season, despite a left-back scarcity.

Destiny Udogie, who made a great start for Spurs, has cemented himself as the first-choice left-back. Tottenham, on the other hand, is aiming to add depth to their defence by bringing in another left-back.

Reguilon joined Tottenham in 2020 on a five-year contract with a reputed £27.5 million buy-back clause.

His time in North London has been marked by injuries and various loan periods, limiting his effectiveness. He appeared in 67 Spurs games, scoring two goals and assisting eight times.

The Real Madrid youth academy product spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Atletico Madrid. He subsequently joined Manchester United on a six-month loan in September of last year to cover for injured left-backs Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

Reguilon shown his ability during his stint at United, prompting a renewed interest in making his move permanent.

Tottenham are open to proposals for the left-back, with Manchester United surfacing as a possible destination. This move would allow Spurs to acquire finances and settle their team ahead of the upcoming season.
