According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur are mulling a deal for Palmeiras’ Marcus Vinnicius, who is regarded as one of Brazil’s top young players his age

Tottenham has recently kept an eye out for young players, who can play both left back and flank.

Vinnicius, who has made headlines with his youth football achievements, is now being tipped to transfer to Europe, with Spurs reportedly one of the clubs interested in obtaining his services.

According to the report, Ange Postecoglou’s side is keeping a close eye on the 17-year-old, who has reportedly drawn the attention of scouts from the North London club.

According to the site, Tottenham’s recruitment effort is presently centred on youthful talent, with Vinnicius being one of the most recent names on the club’s radar.

Spurs are not the only team reportedly interested in the adolescent; Wolves, Newcastle, and Benfica are also rumoured to be watching him closely.

The young talent, who can play both left back and flank, is reportedly ready to sign his first professional deal with Palmeiras, with the Brazilian team willing to pay a premium for the skill.

Following their recent sales of players to European teams, including Endrick, Luis Guilherme, and Estevao Willian, it is reported that Palmeiras see Vinicius as their next major cash cow with the potential to make enormous money.

Although Tottenham has not traditionally signed players directly out of South American football leagues, Alejo Veliz’s signing last summer served as a clear indication that the club’s approach has altered under the new administration.

Unfortunately for Veliz, he was unable to further his footballing education with a first team during his loan stint at Sevilla.
