Ange Postecoglou replies to speculations of England interest and makes his position plain

Ange Postecoglou has addressed persistent rumors that the Football Association is considering hiring the Australian to lead England.

Ange Postecoglou has made a bright start to his life in North London since being named manager of Tottenham Hotspur, after an effective tenure at Celtic.

Despite losing Harry Kane to Bayern Munich last summer, Postecoglou led the Lilywhites to a fifth-place finish in the Premier League, playing some of the most thrilling football for the North London club.

However, these strong performances have naturally sparked curiosity from abroad. Liverpool has previously expressed interest in Postecoglou, but the England national team has since been linked.

Spurs began their pre-season campaign with a commanding 5-1 win over Hearts, with 16-year-old Mikey Moore excelling. The additions of Leeds United player Archie Gray and Swedish talent Lucas Bergvall bode well for the Lilywhites.

In a news conference following Tottenham’s dominant victory over the Scottish side, Postecoglou was asked about his future, and he was unambiguous in his response.

“I’m Tottenham’s manager, and I’m determined to bring success to this club,” Postecoglou told Sky Sports. “That’s where my attention is. My task is not complete until we do something here.”
This will be a major boost, as the club now has a clear vision for the future for the first time since Mauricio Pochettino’s tenure.

Eddie Howe’s relocation is England’s first priority.

The Football Association will now focus on potential successors to Gareth Southgate, who announced his resignation as manager of the England national team.

When Postecoglou pledges his future to the North London team, Tottenham supporters will undoubtedly be relieved.
Regarding England, insiders have informed HITC that Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle United, is a candidate the Three Lions are willing to select.

The former manager of Bournemouth is reportedly amenable to taking over for Southgate, but the Magpies won’t make it simple.
