Watford has taken the lead in the pursuit of Leeds United’s desired striker.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Watford are leading the chase for Leeds United target Sory Kaba, who might cost £2 million to sign.

Kaba joined Cardiff City on loan for the second part of the Championship season last year and quickly proved he could handle the challenges of English football.

He scored eight goals in his 17 Championship appearances, and Watford was one of the sides he scored against.

Looking for firepower, the Hornets are now leading the pursuit to re-sign Kaba, although they will face competition for his signature.

A number of Championship clubs are interested in Kaba, notably Daniel Farke‘s Leeds, who are looking to add another striker to their squad.

The 28-year-old is now on the books at Danish club, but his contract is coming to an end.

Kaba has already made two appearances in the Danish top division this season, although both times he came off the bench.

It is estimated that he would cost £2m to sign from the Danish club, a fee that would most likely be acceptable to his Championship pursuers.

Kaba has represented Guinea at the international level.
