Sunderland held the Reds to a 1-1 draw on Friday, and at this point in pre-season, it’s all about getting minutes in.
Forest began their pre-season campaign with a 3-0 victory over Chesterfield, and the intensity will increase in the coming weeks.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side play Bournemouth on the first day of the Premier League season, and the match is getting closer.

Before tonight, we looked at how Forest would line up against Neil Harris’ Lions.

Nottingham Forest’s rearguard.

In goal, we believe Matz Sels will make his first appearance since returning to training following Euro 2024.
Matt Turner is on the team, but considering that he is not in the plans, it seems unnecessary to give him game time at this moment.

We believe Espirito Santo will look at a back three tonight.

Nikola Milenkovic might earn his first minutes, as could Murillo and Joe Worrall, who are expected to be moved this summer. At wing-back, Eric da Silva Moreira appears to be working hard, and we expect him to play on the right, with Ola Aina taking his place on the left.

This is one region of the pitch with a lot of options right now.
Danilo and Ryan Yates are our picks for tonight, although it will most likely be two different teams playing.
Ibrahim Sangare, Nicolas Dominguez, Elliot Anderson, and Lewis O’Brien will all hope to appear at some point.

Morgan Gibbs-White scored a cheeky little goal in training yesterday, and we believe he’ll be part of a front three tonight.

Chris Wood should lead the charge through the middle, while Taiwo Awoniyi improves his fitness.

Coming in from the left, we believe Callum Hudson-Odoi will take the shirt from the start as Forest look for a winning attacking formula.
