Tottenham Hotspur have already been associated with a number of different players during the summer transfer window, but it appears that one of those names will not be on the move.
Tottenham has made no move for Chris Fuhrich.
Florian Plettenberg, a Sky Germany reporter known to many Spurs supporters for his ongoing coverage of Harry Kane’s departure to Bayern Munich last summer, has provided an update on Chris Fuhric’s future.
Plettenberg has revealed on social networking platform Instagram that the winger has turned down all offers to leave Stuttgart this summer and will instead remain with the Bundesliga club.
Fuhrich will continue at Stuttgart this season.
Last month, CaughtOffSide revealed that the 26-year-old was receiving interest from both Tottenham and Chelsea.
Fuhrich might have been available for a transfer fee of between €23 million and €25 million to English clubs due to a clause in his contract that expired on July 19th (Florian Plettenberg).
Spursweb Opinion
Tottenham were correct not to pursue a trade for Fuhrich, who did not stand out at Euro 2024 and is not a significant upgrade over his colleague Timo Werner.
Instead, the North Londoners should focus on bringing in a player who can significantly strengthen the starting eleven, such as Eberechi Eze, rather than providing bench support.
