Manchester United could attempt to sign Tottenham’s £25 million target now that he is available.

Manchester United has already signed Leny Yoro this summer, but the club needs to add additional defensive players.

Indeed, after losing Raphael Varane, United are short at the back, and Harry Maguire has been linked with a move away, so the Red Devils want another defender. Jarrad Branthwaite has recently been linked with a move to United, but according to Ben Jacobs of The Debrief, Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah is someone the Red Devils should consider.

Interestingly, Chalobah was left out of Chelsea’s pre-season tour squad earlier this week, and Tottenham has also expressed interest in the defender.

Manchester United could consider Trevoh Chalobah.

Jacobs has revealed what he knows about the Chelsea defender and United’s interest.

“A player like Trevoh Chalobah may be on Manchester United’s radar; they haven’t made an approach yet, but we know he’s available at Chelsea for as low as £25 million. “I believe Manchester United’s budget allows them to sign a player who can play both centre-back and full-back,” Jacobs remarked.

Trevoh Chalobah may be an excellent addition for United.

At £25 million, he is not a bank-breaker and would be able to address a variety of issues.

According to Jacobs, Chalobah can play right-back or centre-back, as well as midfield. Chalobah’s ability to play in midfield is very intriguing. Casemiro slowed down significantly last season, and with Scott McTominay rumored with a move to Fulham, it’s fair to say that United require more depth in the middle of the park.

Chalobah would not be one of the first names on the team sheet at United, but he would be a valuable addition to the squad since he can play in three positions, which are perhaps the three most problematic areas at Old Trafford.
