Taking to X, Romano claims Aston Villa is ready to extend Lamare Bogarde’s contract after rejecting Forest’s proposal.
The athlete is still thought to be attracting a lot of interest, with clubs still hoping to sign him for the next season. Any deal for the 20-year-old will have to be done on loan, as Villa want to secure his long-term future.
Forest is going to miss out on top talent.
Earlier this summer, Forest are thought to have made a £4 million offer to Villa for Bogarde.
Although he is only 20 and has yet to play a minute of Premier League football, he has already received high accolades from several in the game.
Joey Barton, a former player and manager, praised the midfielder after managing the Villa prospect at Bristol Rovers.
