Nottingham Forest has reportedly made one outstanding acquisition this summer; according to Chris Wood.

Chris Wood, a striker for Nottingham Forest, will be looking to score goals for the Forest in 2024–2025.

He assisted on a goal in the FA Cup and scored 14 goals in the Premier League last season. Wood appears to be expected to carry the load when it comes to scoring goals for Forest this season, even if the team is hoping to bring in another striker.

This summer, Forest has made a few acquisitions in the transfer market; the most recent addition is at the back.

For an estimated £12 million, Nikola Milenkovic joined Forest from Fiorentina and has participated in two of the team’s friendlies. Since the player’s arrival at the City Ground, Wood has been talking about his experience confronting him in training.

It appears that the player who guided Fiorentina to consecutive Europa Conference League finals is a wise addition to the Forest team. The Reds will be anxious to make sure they can improve their defense coming season, especially at set pieces. This should however be made easier by Milenkovic, and Wood seems pleased with the Serbian defender’s signing.

“He’s a big boy and he’s got some good feet, we’re lucky to have him,” he said to BBC Sport. Seeing more of him in games will be exciting because he has demonstrated who he is.The four additions we’ve made, in my opinion, have been really wise.

Milenkovic will take over as Forest’s boss very soon.

It must be acknowledged that at the present the Forest locker room is arguably lacking in leaders. Morgan Gibbs-White could lead the team at the beginning of the season because Ryan Yates is rarely regarded as a regular and Joe Worrall’s future is not quite known.

Although having a player like Milenkovic on the field could also be beneficial, the gifted player is a solid choice for captain. Throughout his seven years in Serie A, the 26-year-old captained Fiorentina on a few occasions and demonstrated leadership skills on the field.

It’s interesting that Wood already thinks highly of him as a reliable member of Trentside and, ideally, making a significant impact on the team.
