According to his transfer plan; Daniel Farke is prepared to put his trust in the 19-year-old “brilliant” Leeds player.

Daniel Farke will be much happy with his current group than he was a year ago as Leeds United prepares to take on Portsmouth in their Championship opener on Saturday.

Leeds is well-stocked in the majority of positions on the field, even with the sale of Crysencio Summerville; those who needed to go or had to be sold have already done so. That was not the case at this point in the previous season.

Players were still trying to get out, making deals as close to the deadline as they could. The Whites have won four straight preseason games; their most recent victory came against Valencia. They are well-balanced.

However, there are still certain possibilities that require consideration. Farke has expressed his desire for a new full-back and Glen Kamara’s replacement, and with Summerville’s departure, there is an urgent need for a winger.

Leeds’ talented 19-year-old receives the nod following an outstanding preseason.

According to Graham Smyth, Leeds will also bring in three new players. A full-back, an attacking midfielder, and Summerville’s replacement, stating as much in response to a Leeds fan before the team’s victory over Valencia.

Though it doesn’t appear likely, concentrate on getting a new center back. That is in spite of the departures of Liam Cooper and Charlie Cresswell, the former Leeds captain who is rumored to have recently had discussions with Watford.

Max Wober and Joe Rodon have returned permanently, and Pascal Struijk has recovered from his injuries. Leeds’ middle defense is a touch thin now that Ethan Ampadu has moved into midfield, albeit James Debayo is there.

Debayo has performed admirably for Leeds this summer.

Michael Skubala called Debayo “brilliant.” He has played for Leeds in all four preseason games and even made the starting lineup at Harrogate. Although he was a center defender by nature, he started as a right back in Germany.

With Ampadu back in midfield, Farke will want four reliable alternatives at center back; however, with Cresswell out of the picture, the fourth spot behind Rodon, Struijk, and Wober is up for grabs. Leeds, though, isn’t looking for a center back.

As a result of his strong preseason play, Farke’s willingness to utilize him, and Leeds’ lack of interest in a center back, it appears that Debayo will move up to the fourth team for the 24–25 campaign.
