A portion of Leeds’ £25 million Crysencio Summerville fee is now intended for the teenage wonderkid.

Leeds now wants to invest a portion of the £25 million Crysencio Summerville fee on one of Germany’s top young defensive players.

Even though Elland Road was already grieving over Archie Gray’s £30 million move to Tottenham, West Ham’s £25 million acquisition of Summerville only made matters worse.

Now, though, Leeds is hoping to brighten Elland Road by using some of this £55 million to sign a star player.

Bruno Ogbus is wanted by Leeds.

It has been stated by Florian Plettenburg of Sky Germany that Leeds is interested in signing Bruno Ogbus.

Nottingham Forest is also interested in the SC Freiburg No. 43, who made an impression in the Bundesliga team’s young ranks the previous season and advanced them to the DFB-Pokal der Junioren final with some incredible performances in the center of defense.

Plettenburg continues, “SC Freiburg will not be selling the Switzerland U19 international this summer; they intend to keep Ogbus.” But Leeds could pressure the German team to rethink that position, in our opinion at least, given that Daniel Farke has £55 million burning a hole in his pocket following the sales of Gray and Summerville.

Plettenburg also said that Ogbus, who is anticipated to be promoted into SC Freiburg’s first squad the following season, had an offer for him rejected by AC Milan.

Leeds shouldn’t exert too much pressure on SC Freiburg.

The transfer deadline is at the end of this month, therefore Leeds needs to move quickly to force SC Freiburg to sell if they have no plans to. Otherwise, they risk losing valuable time.

Farke needs to bolster his team quickly in order to guarantee a summer return to the Premier League. If vital time is wasted trying to recruit an 18-year-old who has never played senior football, even with Ogbus’ apparent precocious skill, that prospect will be less likely to succeed.

The teenager is also being pursued by AC Milan, so if SC Freiburg is forced to sell, you would assume the Italian powerhouses will be his first choice because they can provide UEFA Champions League football.

However, keep a watch on this, as Leeds continues to keep an eye on Ogbus.
