Dominic Solanke has been named by Spurs as Harry Kane’s successor.
According to HITC, negotiations between Tottenham and Bournemouth to recruit Dominic Solanke, an English striker who is open to leaving the team, are moving forward. Spurs are willing to pay £65 million for Solanke this summer, but they would prefer to restructure the payments, according to information provided to HITC.
In his Bournemouth deal, Solanke has a £65 million release clause that is only applicable to the Big Six teams in the Premier League. Although Chelsea had shown interest in Solanke, Tottenham is the team that the Englishman is most likely to play for.
Solanke scored an incredible 19 Premier League goals and contributed three assists for the South Coast club last season while playing for Andoni Iraola‘s Cherries.
Prior to being shipped to Bournemouth, Solanke had a period at one of the best teams in England, Liverpool. However, that trade did not go as planned. Solanke has been inconsistent for the Cherries since that move in 2018. He scored 29 goals in the Championship but has found it difficult to maintain that level of play in the Premier League.
But the previous season turned out to be his breakthrough year in the Premier League, thus a summer transfer might be in the works.
Spurs may sign the highly regarded “brilliant” Thierry Henry.
The Englishman has improved significantly over the last 12 months, and in January of last year, he was connected to a transfer to one of the big six Premier League teams.
